The story of www.skyuser.co.uk
Well we launched this site nearly 4 months ago, and now have over 3100 registered members.
What started out as a night on the beer and how 2 people can help other broadband users, has turned into something beyond our wildest dreams!
We would like to say a big thank you to all our members and visitors and especially our moderators and Sky / Easynet staff for taking part in our vision and making it a reality.
I have just gone through the stats and tbh, in a million years would never have expected this, Thank you!
Some interesting stats since we went live:
Pageviews: 3,430,328
Visits: 292,586
Hits: 21,327,334
We are here to help you and once again thankyou for making this site as busy as it is!
Just incase you are wondering why there is such a huge spike on the top graph, thats when Dean released his stories on The Inquirer so thank you to you as well
Last month alone we had nearly 100,000 visitors.
Our most read thread is this one:
Ive done it! Flashed router and got my sky password! with 22274 views.
Our largest referrer is www.google.co.uk with 15466 referrals.
On www.alexa.com currently, our Traffic Rank for skyuser.co.uk is: 129,258 Which is up 3,629,384 places since first been listed, that is some going!
We have also bought all of the following domains, which now point to this website:
www.skyuser.org
www.skyuser.info
www.skyuser.net
www.skyuser.eu
www.skyuser.org.uk
Long term, our plans are to help other broadband users, and we have now launched www.talktalkuser.co.uk / www.talktalkuser.com and also www.vodafoneuser.co.uk / www.vodafoneuser.com - all of our members are welcome on any of our websites. We would like to achieve a huge collective community of people who like to help each other.

We are chuffed that Sky staff have joined us!
I know unofficially, however it shows that some Sky staff do care, its just a shame that you can be sacked for helping.... Don't worry we won't give your identity away~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Its great to see that the website is doing so well and i for one am indebted for all your help. However I think it is also an indication of how poorly sky have handled the entire broadband rollout. Maybe you could use your stats to backup the complaint petition that has been rumored on here.
Many thanks once again and keep up the good work, sky should be paying you !!!!!!!!
