In The News Saturday December 8 2007
Many Sky customers have taken to online bulletin boards to vent their anger. "If you haven't already, check out Sky's brand new privacy policy ... it is very hairy indeed! In effect, if you do not opt out, you are leaving yourself and your personal information open to virtually all and sundry," one individual calling themselves "sgterniebilko" said on a Digital Spy forum. On a SkyUser forum, one poster said: "I think Sky are on really dodgy ground here."

Re: In The News Saturday December 8 2007
May I also recommend registering with the Mailing Preference Service (MPS) and Telephone Preference Service (TPS)
MPS online
TPS Registration
As I understand it, registering with MPS won't stop junk from people that you have consented to receive from. But it should stop junk mail from people who have got your name & address by buying a mailing list from another party.
Likewise, registering with TPS won't stop unsolicited calls from people that you have consented to receive from. But it should stop junk mail from people who have got your phone number by buying a mailing list from another party.
It takes barely a minute to register with each. In my opinion, well worth it - we only get junk mail from people that we have bought from and I can't remember the last time I got a cold call about anything (except those pesky double glazing doorsteppers of course!)
