Connect to Max... All done & very Happy!!
I found out that my exchange was enabled about 2 weeks ago.
One quick phone call to Sky and I found out I could be put onto the Max package, was told this would be done within 4 working days.
4 days later I recieve a voice text on my homephone informing me that my max is enabled.
My download speeds jump from 3547 to an average of 13567... Very happy!! Well Done Sky!!!

Great news
Perhaps you could change your profile now to reflect the changes?

Re: Connect to Max... All done & very Happy!!
I think that must be the first post, that I have seen, where someone has successfully transfered from connect to any of the other sky packages.
I'm just down the road from you, different exchange though, so I wonder if I'll soon be experiencing the change. Trouble is I'm quite happy where I am on connect, with a lovely stable connection and the full 8Mb speed. I was only going for the mid package anyway. Just hope it doesn't mess up when I go on to sky's gear.
Glad to see you are happy with your new connection.Last edited by Lazarus; 14-03-07 at 08:46 PM.

Added to the front page of the site, I think you have achieved the impossible, and it shows that the moves from Connect are on the way, finally!

Re: Connect to Max... All done & very Happy!!
I have been constantly told you need to wait until they do us in bulk as "there is no process in place to do this" as yet.
I have just received yet another reply from Customer Relations on behalf of Mr Murdoch advising almost word for the word the contents of other emails posted in various threads on this site., which basically says we can't do this just now, we are devising abulk move and it is very complicated, apparently harder than ordering a new connection!
I am fed up with being consistently lied to by Sky, folks are right, you seen to have acheived the impossible, maybe because your exchange was only enabled a few weeks prior it may have been possible for someone to wave a magic wand and make this possible for you, pity that trick doesn't appear to work for anyone else.
I signed up to Connect because the promotionla buff at the time stated quite clearly that as soon as the exchange was on Sky's Network you would be moved across, what a load of nonense, I am sick to the back teeth of BT's 3 day rule as my connection does drop to lower speeds from time to time and it is very frustrating.
My email from Sky confirmed I will continue to pay £5 for Connect until July, then what, who knows.....

Re: Connect to Max... All done & very Happy!!
I was actually transferred to the max package from connect on the 7th March. Would have been sooner but there was a weeks delay cos of BT. On the day of activation I was put on gmdt mode and capped at 8mb. Straightaway I rang tier3 and after 30 mins wait the lady put me on adsl2 and at first capped at 12MB, has noise margin was too low. Told me to use it as it is for afew days and if any problems to call back. In these 3 days I fitted a filtered faceplate from adslnation and my noise margin went upto 12. Again rang tier 3 with my ticket number I had previously and told him what I had done and with no qualms the guy uncapped me. Now synching at 14MB and its great. Well happy!!!
