      Yeah I'm a little surprised myself! It's definitely superior to the latest TalkTalk router anyways.

      Would like to get the ER115 running instead of the TT one, or I'm probably going to fork out for something like a nighthawk or similar.

      I dont think it is possible without a hack. I was able to do it with the older SR102, I used it with Plusnet.
      One thing you could try (but will have a low chance of working) is add this to the config.
      Code:
        <InternetGatewayDevice>
          (Most of the config here)
          <X_SKY_COM_Factory>
            <FactoryPermit>MALCREV</FactoryPermit>
            <BuildString>default</BuildString>
            <BaseMac>24A7ff112233</BaseMac>
            <ADSLUsername>24a7ff112233@skydsl</ADSLUsername>
            <ADSLPassword>C1111111</ADSLPassword>
            <factorySsId>SKY11111</factorySsId>
            <factoryPublicKey>default</factoryPublicKey>
            <WifiPassword>ABCDEFGHJK</WifiPassword>
            <factorySerialNumber>X11111XX222222</factorySerialNumber>
            <factoryHardwareVersion>003</factoryHardwareVersion>
            <factoryModel>ER115</factoryModel>
            <WPSPin>11111111</WPSPin>
          </X_SKY_COM_Factory>
        </InternetGatewayDevice>
      I think this only reads the bootloader details though ;(

      Thanks very much for sending this over - could you give me a bit more detail as to how that would be applied? Do I need a special cable?

      Re: SKY Q Hub - ER115 is it hackable?

      Update from tonight - I've put my Sky router onto the TalkTalk line without any changes to it and it's connected and the ADSL is up - so will leave it as is for now and see if it continues to work

      Re: SKY Q Hub - ER115 is it hackable?

      oh yeah, If you download the 'Backup Settings' from the routers web page. It will give you a file called sky_backupsetting.conf, open that with notepad and the first 3 lines will be:
      Code:
      <?xml version="1.0"?>
      <DslCpeConfig version="3.0">
        <InternetGatewayDevice>
      and at the bottom will be
      Code:
        </InternetGatewayDevice>
      </DslCpeConfig>
      Add the "<X_SKY_COM_Factory> blaa blaa blaa </X_SKY_COM_Factory>" part there, just above the last 2 lines. You can ignore some of the lines like factorySerialNumber & factoryModel because the defaults will be used. Then you can 'Restore Settings' using this adjusted file.
      Then probably feel gutted, as it probably wont work.

      oh, you responded just as I submitted my response - what timing!

      Hi Guys,

      Just stumbled accross this thread searching for something I am trying to do on the router.

      I am trying to add additional interfaces to the router so I can bridge some subnets. I have downloaded this conf file and have found things such as

      <LANHostConfigManagement>
      <DHCPServerEnable>TRUE</DHCPServerEnable>
      <MinAddress>192.168.0.100</MinAddress>
      <MaxAddress>192.168.0.200</MaxAddress>
      <IPInterfaceNumberOfEntries>1</IPInterfaceNumberOfEntries>
      <IPInterface instance="1">
      <Enable>TRUE</Enable>
      <X_BROADCOM_COM_IfName>br0</X_BROADCOM_COM_IfName>
      <X_BROADCOM_COM_IPv6LanIntfAddress>
      <DelegatedAddress nextInstance="7" ></DelegatedAddress>
      </X_BROADCOM_COM_IPv6LanIntfAddress>
      </IPInterface>
      <IPInterface nextInstance="2" ></IPInterface>
      </LANHostConfigManagement>
      Using a similar technique as described here? Do you think I could import a modified file that would add the bridges? Has anybody done this before?
