      Sky Fibre Pro

Am I right in thinking that with fibre pro, the option 61 DHCP setting doesn't apply (i.e the username and password is discoverable)?

I have a third party router and modem (netgear) which manages the option 61 setting fine. I then have my linksys router attached to that which all the devices connect to.

I recently put an order for pro through (I know this is not officially available now but due to issues in being told I can have max but then not), but I'm wondering if when I get pro I can use my netgear as a modem only and let the linksys do the routing?

      Thanks

Option61 is still required, however you can put whatever gibberish you fancy in that string now and it should work. As long as the Lynksys can do option61 you can do it, OpenWRT would work. It's the router that does the dhcp option61 negotiation, not the modem.
