Sky Q router with O2 boostbox

      Hi there

I'm trying to set up my Sky Q router with an O2 boostbox to improve my mobile signal.

The Boostbox is connected via ethernet into my router but its suggesting it's not connected to the internet, and this suggests that uPnP hasn't worked and I need to set up port forwarding manually.

I've copied the o2 instructions below but I have no idea what it means and what i have to do (I'm pretty tech-savvy in general, but not when it comes to this!).

      Please can someone help me?

      Thank you!

      Setting up the Boostbox
You can use a Boostbox with any broadband provider, as long as you have:

      • Connection speeds over 1Mb/s
      • A broadband router that supports UPnP (Universal Plug & Play)
      • A spare LAN port on the router

Most routers are UPnP, but if yours isn't, you might need to set up port-forwarding on the router's firewall. The Boostbox needs to access ports:

      • 50 (TCP/IP)
      • 123 (UDP)
      • 500 (UDP)
      • 4500 (UDP)

If you're stuck,, your ISP and your router manufacturer can tell you more about port-forwarding.
Once setup is complete, the Boostbox will start working in 1-4 hours. When your phone connects, it'll look just like it's connected to the O2 3G network.

Re: Sky Q router with O2 boostbox

Have you checked that UPnP is enabled in your router? Router settings>Advanced>UPnP.

If it is enabled your best bet is to follow the instructions from Portsforward. As the router you have is not specifically covered, follow the instructions for the 2405n which are very similar. Just go to Portsforward, click List or programs in the left pane, click 'O' and select O2 box. On the list of routers click 'S' and select Sagem 2504n and follow the instructions from there.
