Portforwarding Not Working, Just See Sky Router Summary Page or Page Not Found!

I use to have a netgear and portwarding always worked on that with no issue. However i dont know where i am going wrong here.

I am using the following on SKY :-

      Manufacturer Sagemcom
      Model Number F@ST2304
      Firmware Version 5.14.6.1a4N
      ADSL Firmware Version A2pD030n.d23b

I have a stand alone server running on my laptop, so when i type localhost or my laptops ip ( 192.168.0.101 ) it displays my webpage i have made, i can type the laptop IP on any other pc or device on my network and see the webpage fine also. However i want to broadcast that outside of my network on to the internet, which all i should have to do is provide my IP assigned by SKY along with setting up port forwarding to the IP of my laptop on port 80

However whenever i type in the IP assigned by SKY it just takes me to the default SKY BROADBAND SUMMARY STATUS page?

I've spent the best part of 4 hours reading posts on here and else where i cant find anything, other than a lot of other people having major issues with port forwarding.

as far as i am aware sky do not let you host websites from your own home on there network

and typing your ip addy will bring you the router stats page as this is normal, you would have to use a differernt internet connection to visit your ip address

Yes, I agree. You would need to test the website outside of your internal LAN as port forwarding is only active for inbound connections through your firewall. Trying it whilst connected to your own LAN does not touch the firewall.

As Sky addresses are dynamic, you really need a DynamicDNS address or you will be unable to connect when the address changes.
As mentioned you cannot get access from within your network unless you use the local IP address. Also try port 8080, you might find it works better.

You will be aware that it is actually is against the T & Cs to host a website,
