Well, unticked the boxes in the above diagram so fingers crossed!

I'd forgotten all about the kind of boxes Pete mentioned, are they any good? I read up a bit and some complain about the "noise" they put out but since my radio is an internet one and I'm a good 30ft+ from any neighbours it shouldn't be an issue. (though I am dubious about the amount of crap in the air passing through us at every moment - can't be healthy!)

So does anyone have one of these Homeplugs? Does it do what it says on the tin? I'd go for a 200mbps I guess, money isn't a major issue.

      Cheers again guys!

I use a pair of Devolo 85mbps and they work great for me

were about 80 a couple of years ago, so should be a lot cheaper now

unless you have a gigabit network cards and switch the 200 meg/sec are no good, the 85 meg/sec ones are fine.

Dabs have them from 40-50 a pair now and I quite like the look of these Belkin ones as they have the ethernet connection away from the plug bit making it more streamlined.

      dabs.com - Belkin Powerline Turbo Networking Adapter 85 Mbps - 2-Pack (F5D4071UK)

I have gone over to these and ditched wireless completely so much better getting full ethernet around the house.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

      Re: Sky Reset at Midnight?

Right, got the Netgear 200mbps Homeplugs, all seems to be working well (oddly getting higher ping on closest server with speedtest.net than on the old wireless but we're talking 50ms rather than 40ms so no biggie - I'm sure it will handle the data transfer a whole lot better!)

Now I just need to find out why my usual 6-7meg download speed on Sky is down to 450kbps! (same on wireless or Homeplugs) I know Sunday afternoons are a busy time but jeez that's crappy!
