      uploading host file blocklist to sagem router

      I've spent ages converting an hosts file to match the same format of the sky_settings.conf backup file the sagem 2504 v3 sky adsl router saves onto your pc when doing a settings backup.

      I have saved 1 file with no domains / keywords listed, then a 2nd with 11 sites / domains blocked to see the difference & how it adds them to the conf file.

      armed with this info, i've then added 33082 sites to the conf file & updated the blocklist count within the conf file to 33082.

      <urlBlock tableSize="33082">
      <urlBlockEntry id="278" key_word=""/>

      I tried emailing sky & sagem for information on the maximum number of sites i could block, any detrimental performance, maximum size of the conf file and would this way of importing sites work, as yet no reply from either.....

      so i tried uploading it, and it doesnt make any changes to the list at all, even if i try clearing the list before starting....

      so i "assume" the list is too big, i'm going to try with 50 or 100 & see how i get on, am i allowed to post conf files on here for others to try? or the edited blocklist for someone else to try copy & pasting into there conf file?

      I have hosts files on each pc to protect them from known spyware sites, as well as a program called zonedout & restricted sites list & this has helped the amount i have to check my kids computers, although would like the router to handle blocking the connections as its meant to. it would improve cpu / network performance, small lag issues and decrease network traffic, everything would stop @ the router, rather than making it onto my network, even google & ebay have spyware / adverts & i dont want them !!

      anyone able to offer any help? anyone tried this before?
