      DynamicDNS

I was wondering if anyone could help me with some information I need to setup DynamicDNS on my LAN. I am going to be running a webserver that I want to access from the outside. How would I implement this if im running two routers(netgear and cisco 2514)in conjunction.

      My setup is as follows:

      sky netgear 10.1.1.1 >>>> cisco eth0 10.1.1.2 >>> eth1 192.168.2.1 >>> webserver 192.168.2.10

Any input would be much appreciated.

      Re: DynamicDNS

It all depends on how much you know about IOS. Why have you got the 2514 in the mix?

How much do you know about IOS access lists?

Basically, on your sky router you would need to forward port 80 to the ethernet port on the 2514s eth0 and then use access lists to forward port to the webserver. It should work although its over complicated.

I basically put the Cisco in to practise using it. I'll give what you said a go.

      Thank for the reply.

      Re: DynamicDNS

Going for the CCNA? I'm about half way through, got a pair of 1600's sat here and a 1900 switch. Not quite got up to the port forwarding or access lists yet.

Might get back to you in a few weeks!
