      Nothing is likely to happen with your attenuation, and you'd be surprised what routes they can take, i've seen one line that was a straight line distance of 2.4KM but testing showed it to be almost 6KM long.

      I've tried the Sky Netgear DG834GT utility version 0.4 and it said mode G.DMT but my speed is near 11.5mb, Am I missing something here.

      The "version" of G.DMT Sky use is a later revision which has characteristics similar to ADSL2 and allows a theoretical downstream connection speed of ~12000kbps.

      It isn't uncommon for posters to report a connection of around 9500kbps but I don't recall anyone ever having 11500kbps. Your line must be particularly good and I wonder why on earth Sky have put you on G.DMT mode rather than ADSL2+

      Last Result:
      Download Speed: 12399 kbps (1549.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
      Upload Speed: 486 kbps (60.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

      This was done at Namesco BroadbandMax ADSL Broadband Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL Broadband connection speed the router is not plugged diectly into the faceplait but to a 20m telephone ext, Not that I am complaining I was just curious
