Sky says one thing - reality another?

Hi Everyone, Im new here and I have found good resources here.
but I can quite work out my problem.
I have been with Sky Broadband for around 3-4 months now and I am still experincing speeds below that of what sky approximated that ill get.

Sky said Ill experince speeds of 14MB but this is obviously not the case. My connection has never been above 10000kbps!

My Speeds aren't as bad as some but i was wondering whether i could get some improvment.

Here are my router stats from the 192.168.0.1 thing.

      ADSL Firmware Version A2pB018e.d16f
      Modem Status Connected
      DownStream Connection Speed 9798 kbps
      UpStream Connection Speed 766 kbps
      VPI 0
      VCI 38

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9798 kbps 766 kbps
Line Attenuation 32.5 db 18.7 db
Noise Margin 7.1 db 12.0 db

Based on line attenuation I would agree that speeds of over 10meg would be expected, however, you have quite a low noise margin.
Sky may have capped you for stability reasons, without the cap you could experience disconections.
Might be worthwhile giving them another call.
