I posted in another folder by mistake, but hopefully you guys can tell me what's going on.

I've been with Sky Connect for more than two weeks now. I get exactly these figures regardless of whether I'm plugged into the master socket or one of the bedrooms. I've phoned up Sky but they reckon there's nothing wrong. The connection is reliable, and hasn't once gone down.

Judging by everyone else's stats, why am I the slowest person on the forum? In speed tests my upload is faster than my download!

To me sky are telling you porkys i would personally get back onto them and ask to speak to tier 3, i would expect you should be getting over 4mb.

but if you can post your full stats from your router, we might be able to give more help

Yes, them stats definately show you can achieve a much higher speed.

Get on to tier 3 as stated above

I asked Sky to change my package from Connect to Mid yesterday but could not see any difference.

DownStream Connection Speed 1696 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 448 kbps

Downloading files is a big problem. the speed is around 20KB/s

Are you sure that the changeover has happened yet? AFAIK physical work will need to be done at the exchange before you will be on LLU mid service.

Sky did a check and said I could change from Connect to Mid.

My exchange is in Wilmslow and my house is 1.8km from it.

I'm not saying that your exchange does not have Sky's equipment in it what I mean is if you are currently on Connect then you are getting your Broadband Service via BT's equipment at the exchange. For you to be on Mid you will need to be connected via Sky's equipment which will be in the same exchange.

Sky will have to arrange for your Broadband service to be disconnected from BT's equipment and reconnected to Sky's equipment. AFAIK this cannot be done by flicking a switch at a call centre. Sky will have to arrange for someone to go into the exchange and do the change over by disconnecting and reconnecting cables.

What Sky has probably done is to put an order in for the change over to be done at the exchange. I don't know how long this might take but Sky should let you know when the changeover has happened.

I have no idea what what Sky are doing at the moment but I've noticed the speed has dropped significantly in the last two weeks.

bk to keerans problem have u tryed the test socket ??? if u could post ur stats when the router is pluged in into that socket ?
