      contact sky?

Here's my stats from my router.

I have the router connected to an ADSL Nation NTE-2005 Master face plate.

Is it worth me contacting Sky to be put onto ADSL2+, or should I just stay as I am and be happy with the steady connection I get? I downloaded the demo from blueyonder that was posted in another thread, which was steady at about 850kB/sec

      Re: contact sky?

Your attenuation at 36db is good enough, assuming a relatively noise free line, to give a connection speed of ~13500kbps on ADSL2+.

However, for some reason your line is generating an enormous number of errors even with a quality filtered faceplate. Is your router plugged in via an extension or did your router noise margin drop very low in the last day?

Until you get to the bottom of what is causing this I really wouldn't recommend a move to ADSL2+.

      Re: contact sky?

It is connected directly with the supplied RJ11 cable.

I did have uPnP switched on yesterday, but switched it off this morning, could that be the cause of the errors?

      Re: contact sky?

No - UPnP won't cause line errors.

You didn't answer whether you know if your noise margin dropped to a low level during the last day.
