      help does this look ok

      hi sorry all asi say new to this just run a speed test on bbmax and got following results should i be worried.as i,m on the max package
      2200kbps download
      630kbps upload
      please help

      Your connection isn't too bad as your attenuation (distance from exchange) is quite high. However, you can probably squeeze a little more speed out of it with a little work.

      First thing to do is run a comparison between the socket you usually run your router from and the test socket which you'll find behind the faceplate of your master socket (assuming you have an NTE5). Run the two tests within a couple of minutes of each other to reduce the effects of noise margin variation.

      got connected today and this is my status... i live about 13O metres [as the crow flies] from the exchange.. when using the bbmax site i get around 11087 kbps download and when i tried to download a 500 mb file from a ftp site the highest download speed it reached was 14531 kbps.

      is this ok. guess i am in the ADSL2+ thingy and haven't been capped as of yet ??
