      On your exchange (The Broadband Resource) you can get;

      Local loop unbundling presence
      Be: RFS date set: 31/01/2007
      Bulldog: Enabled
CPW / TalkTalk: RFS date set (Date unknown)
      Easynet / Sky:
      Enabled
      Edge Telecom: Not available
      HomeChoice: Not available
      Lumison: Not available
      Node4: Not available
      Orange: Not available
      Pipex: Not available
      Tiscali: Not available
      WB Internet: Not available
      Zen Internet: Not available

Most of those HIGHLIGHTED ISPS offer Upto 8Mb or beyond!
However that is down to your line and a few other things!

What are your current broadband stats?
From there we could estimate whats speeds you might be able to get!

i copyed this off of that site

You are connected to the East Kilbride telephone exchange.

ADSL is available in your area
Your exchange is also enabled for ADSL Max services

According to BT Wholesale, your line should be able to support a 0.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection.

      Standard ADSL RAG results:
[BT ADSL Code: REGEGEZ] You cannot receive 2Mbps ADSL
[BT ADSL Code: REGEGEZ] You cannot receive 1Mbps ADSL
[BT ADSL Code: REGEGEZ] You can receive 512Kbps ADSL
[BT ADSL Code: REGEGEZ] You can receive 256Kbps ADSL

You are approximately 2.30km from the exchange (straight line distance).

Your BT ADSL code is: REGEGEZ

Andy, If you could, Could you copy & paste your current router stats!
As with the attenuation we come approximate what speed you a potentialy able to get!

That 0.5mb Quoted by BT is an ADSL1 service! As ADSL2 is used by Bulldog & Sky, You should be able to see a rise as ADSL2 uses different frequencies!

      Attenuation.............Approximate Line Length............Potential Connection Speed
      32db...................................2.3km.....................................16000kbps
      35db...................................2.5km.....................................14500kbps
      40db...................................2.9km.....................................11800kbps
      45db...................................3.2km.......................................8500kbps
      50db...................................3.6km.......................................6500kbps
      55db...................................4.0km.......................................4500kbps
      60db...................................4.3km.......................................3200kbps
      65db...................................4.7km.......................................2000kbps
