I get Stats above which I think are good but when I do a speed teat it's between 3 meg - 4 meg when asking Sky they said the speed test sites get so many people using them that they are not accurate which I cannot believe, any of you think it's twaddle as well ?
PS Tried the one on this site.

Most are not much good, I tend to use this one http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/
I find it a lot more accurate when I need a rough idea how the connection is doing but a good ftp site is the best indicator for a more accurate speed test try this one

apparently you should check yr speed with these tests in the middle of the night , on a weekday (3am). cos of internet traffic during peak times will not allow a good reading of your speed.
this is what zdnet had on their speed test page.
Try downloading something from rapidshare or microsoft. see what speeds you get.
