      howdy.

at the moment i have my modem here (in my room upstairs)

downstairs i have a splitter connected to the master socket and a converter that allows me to use a standard telephone extension cable.

would it be better to simply have the router next to the master socket and have a cat5 cable replacing the normal telephone cable im using at the mo

btw im on plusnet adslmax atm (migrating) and i use to connect at 7800.. now its 5500. not changed owt

I have my router upstairs plugged into the master socket, with a cat5 cable running down to my PC

Always get fast speeds, and never drop of connection, however I am not on Sky .... yet, but thats another story.
