      Router's modem cable

As we know, plugging your router directly into the BT master test socket can improve your connection (trebled mine!) as it cuts out the interference from any internal extension cabling.....

So how good is the actual modem cable that connets the router to the phone socket. Could this be susceptable to inteferance and would a better quality cable improve things?

I was in Office World (Staples) and there is a belkin RJ11 cable that does look far better quality than the standard cable, but has anyone tried a better quality cable? (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=266098)

It was only 10 and I was gonna get it but the queue was massive at the till. If no-one has any views, then I might try and pick one up next week and see if that also helps?

      Cheers.

Do they operate a way of taking it back if not wanted?

That would be the easiest way to test the theory

Well if anything the 'better' cable was actually worse (only slightly).

At least I now know that I have the best possible set up I can get.... until someone comes up with any new ideas.
