Which do i trust.
I have just being activated on SkyBB. (4 Days from order to first connection). Anyway, I am currently plugged into the master socket test plug and going on to the router setup page it says that i have 8128 download but if i do a speed test using Broadbandmax.co.uk, it says that i have 476Kbps download, which is correct?
My first post so please be gentle.

The 8128 is the Sync Rate
The 476kbps is your Download Rate!

Hi Philc1210
As you have just connected, on the Connect product, you will find that your speed will change and drop for a 10 day training period. This is a characteristic of that product.
Try not to reboot your router if possible as basically, your line is being trained over the 10 days to give you the best possible speeds etc.Last edited by NewsreadeR; 17-11-06 at 09:04 PM.

The sync rate is like a CAP on the line which is the maximum speed you can get!
The download rate is what you are actually getting, But bare in mind speed tests are not always accurate!
