      Speed Change.

I started off with having a speed averaging around 144 kbps, however in the last couple of weeks, it has decreased to around 80 kbps. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why this has happened and/or how I can help it return to normal speed?

      Re: Speed Change.

There is a very large difference in the line attenuation, something has gone wrong with your line. With your present attenuation you should have a speed of 15-16Mb.Your line should be on ADSL2+ and it is on G.DMT indicating that there has been a problem. Check that everything you have connected to the phone line is plugged into a filter, then call Sky and ask them to configure your line manually.

As an extra check you could plug into the Test socket and see if the figures change by much.
How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket
