      Wireless Signal Strength

      Hi,
We recently moved to Sky Broadband after moving from a very unhelpful service from BT and at first our broadband signal was okay but it seems to be getting worse. The router is in one end of the house in the office and we need it to get a decent signal to the other side of the house to an xbox and a macbook. These are both in a extension to our home where the signal would pass through an outside wall to get there. Is there anyway we can boost out sky signal to get a better overall signal throughout our home. At the moment we struggle to connect the xbox and macbook in the extension.. sometimes it will sometimes it won't. Also we have several iPhones and a iPad which all struggle to connect to network in that area of the house.

I have done a quick sketch of our house plan if this helps anyone... please see below.

      Re: Wireless Signal Strength

The easiest and a better way than wireless toi do this is with a couple of homeplugs, they turn you mains electricity wiring into a network and enable you to just plug in an adaptor at either end to get a connection.

Just like having a wire running from one side to the other, you can also get one with a wireless access point built in which you can use to boost the wireless signal fo laptops etc if needed.
