      Re: Struggling with gaming...

Its quite simple really the OP has ether poor internal wiring or setup or a external line fault,
once thats resolved a sub 30ms ping is quite achievable on Sky llu services.

And to Broadband king the fact you even asked openreach to fix your internal wiring says you don't really understand adsl at all, which is fine but telling people to just move to a different provider is unhelpful as there are cost issues involved and virgin comes with its own set of problems.

If your internal wiring and setup are perfect then Sky are one of the best adsl providers, your speed and reliability are only limited by your line and setup because the network has no traffic restrictions and plenty of bandwidth at all times.

Lets get back to do what we try to do that is on this thread helping ScullyBully Why don`t you BroadBandKiiNG start your own thread about how good Virgin is. We cannot call it Virgin Media any more because they sold part of it to Sky.

First go into the master test socket, Dial 17070 number 2 if theres noise then get BT to sort it will cost you nothing if when you do the test with the face back on then its your end.

Start off by getting a tidy filter faceplate from adslnation.com - broadband products

      Then repost your stats.

Ive also noticed that nobody has asked the OP if he has rang sky to lower Max Delay's to 8 yet?

      Regards
      Darryl

It is not worth getting the max delays reduced uintil his line is sorted, otherwise Sky will reduce his line speed at the same time to keep it stable.
