      Just moved home!!

Hi all, i just moved home and decided to find somewhere slightly nearer the local exchange so am now approx 800meters from it (that's not the only reason i moved lol), I was about 1.4km away before on a different exchange.

I phoned SKY to do the house move thing and the relevent dept put the wheels in motion and my new phone line was live the day i moved in, i just picked up my Sat stuff and plugged into new house all great, but my DSL at the old house is still on, that was a month ago and it's still on to this day lol, so Sky said i couldnt order broadband yet as there was a problem with my new line, i knew this to be false so just went ahead and ordered O2 broadband, the top package fixed ip and 20mb.

Now I seem to be getting slower download speeds than my old sky service using a o2 wireless III router, I will post the stats from said router and wondered if anyone can take a look plse, I have put my new speed test as my sig, the DSL is filtered into a master socket with no extensions.

      Thanks

      What is your line attenuation?
Your stats and speedtest seem to match though theres no reason why you should be getting slow speeds. The only thing that might be slowing you down is your FEC & HEC errors, you should possibly try the router in your test socket and see if you get a similar number of errors over the time.

With your attenuation of 27.5 and noise margin of 6.6dbs I don't think you are going to get much more. I don't know if you are aware but we have a sister site called O2user.co.uk where you might get better advice.
