would they be able to reduce upload noise margin to incrase the upload speed?
what would i need to say to them if they can do something?
      thanks!

      Re: upload speed

ok after finding out I still suck at mw2 even with the increase in upload I thought I'd just check the stats to see if the upload was the same, but I find out my downstream noise margin's dropped considerably. I've got a filtered faceplate and the noise margins never been an issue before, just occasionally I'd have to re-sync the router, should I do this now or just leave things alone?
      heres my stats-

      Re: upload speed

It wouldn't hurt to reboot the router to see what the speed resync's at. If it resync's at a slower speed keep rebooting every 5 mins and eventually the sync speed should increase to what it has been set to. Mine did this when I asked sky to set my speed, I rebooted speed dropped then got a little slower, so kept rebooting then shortly after my speed was back to what it was set at.

Also if you want to be host on MW2 your upload speed will have to be considerably higher than that, somewhere near 1100kbps although there are rare occasions that host will be randomly given to you if all other players have worse upload speeds, such as 448kb upload speeds.

Sorry if thats a little to much to read, when I get typing I tend to get a little carried away.

EDIT: also having a better upload speed won't actually make you any better at MW2 or any game like that to be honest, it will only increase your chances of having an advantage over the enemy player. MW2 is purely down to experience and how you play it.

      Re: upload speed

I haven't rebooted I just left it last night and now this morning the downstream noise margin is back up. I always used to host on mw2 with the 768kbps upload so I just thought the extra would help stop the game being so laggy, that said sometimes it was fine. I hope it will give me an advantage over the enemy, I need all the help I can get. HRouter StatisticsSystem Up Time: 59:53:12
