    Should I be getting more speed ?

      Should I be getting more speed ?

      Below are my router stats these are from the test socket based on these should I be getting more speed or it's ok ? My speed is capped because it never changes always has been like this for more then 3 months same speed

      Connection Speed -----5019 kbps ------------796 kbps
      Line Attenuation --------45 db--------------------25 db
      Noise Margin -------------14 db--------------------14 db

      Yes you should get more speed 8-10mb I would guess, call Sky and get them to manually configure the line.

      Ok rang Sky up and my new stats are below are these ok know ? my Noise Margin has gone from 14db to 7db as the downstream speed is gone up know
      also this is the fixed speed (capped) I was told looks ok know ?

      The 7dbs noise margin shows your line is getting as much as it can safely handle. It will probably be capped at 7520 to keep the line stable.
