New faceplate fitted - How do i get sky to re sync speed

      Hi

I had previously got Sky to manually sync my line at 11997down and 760up even though my line so say only can handle 4mb on every line test website etc. I rang them to tell them that my line was only at 3mb and they agreed that it was able to go higher and DLM failed to connect so he would do manually.

He said he was surprised as when he fiddled, he got line to sync at 12mb pretty much. I have had no issues and all is good.

I bought some face plates and fitted to master socket. All fine and working as it was, but wondering that now i do not use BB filters on mastersocket - will face plate make any difference in speed i can get. If so,how do i get that new speed - do i ring sky and re sync (if so what do i say). OR do i do something on router settings etc. OR will it make no difference at all - what can i expect?

      Cheers

      I

If the stats are the same from the test socket as the faceplate that you have fitted then the faceplate has done it's job so to speak.

If i plug in the router tot est socket behind face plate then look at router stats - will i see a change (if one exists) on stats instantly? If so, is it just the noise margin or something else i am looking for?

      cheers

PS - is there anymorei can do to improve upload speed from 500-600kb i get now (synced at 750) to get closer to 1.3mb on Sky Max BB

      cheers

Post your stats before and after, then we can see what's going on.
