I tried the above speed test as an altenative, but the results were almost exactly the same.
Im not a broadband genius so i may need some peoples help on this one,
My wireless network connection says
Speed: 54Mbps
Signal Strength: Excellent
Status: Connected
Yet when i try to download a file from either limewire or as an example yesterday i tried to download the first GTA from the rockstar website, my PC will not download any faster than 30kb/s, and this is supposed to be 8Mb broadband and im pretty sure it should be faster than that. Ringing sky is not help as the tech staff seem to just be reading from a troubleshooting sheet and seem to know very little about an individiuals problems.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. Yes i do have a microfilter in every phone socket.
Also after 6 at night my connection slows down to dial up levels and internet explorer crashes fairly frequently
