      Hi there,

I'm not sure what route it takes to be honest. These stats come from what is my "main" socket, there isn't a master socket with a test socket available in the apartment.

Removing the ring wire made the level of noise jump up from 7dB to the value it is now (fluctuating around the 20dB mark throughout the day/night). Not sure if there is anything further I can do?

Apart from replacing your 'master socket' with an NTE5a there is not a lot you can do. Just make sure that everything plugged into the phone line runs through a filter. That includes the Sky digi box, if you have it connected.
