    My speed has dropped.

      My speed has dropped.

      I was getting speeds of around 3mbps as I was supposed to but now my connection is displaying this:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 1530 kbps 606 kbps
      Line Attenuation 51.5 db 30.9 db
      Noise Margin 18.6 db 10.0 db

      I've got micro filters on and also have tried the test socket which gives the same results. any idea what wrong?

      It looks like you have gone through or are still going through DLM. If it has finished, it has capped your line.

      Best set is to call Sky and ask.

      You're on adsltwo+ and need moved back to g.dmt with the line uncapped. Call up sky, go through the hoops and they'll have it configured.

      Does DLM just kick in at certain times? I'm not new to sky broadband so I doubt it's DLM. User05 can you please explain what you mean by that?

      Well DLM monitors lines but has specific training periods such as the one you've probably experienced. Most people experience DLM when they first get the broadband provisioned or when sky changed the mid/max packages to everyday/unlimited.

      It's hard to tell the specifics really, but it definitely looks to me that your line configuration needs changed. Basically your line mode is more than likely producing a lot of errors and needs changed and uncapped also. If you call up sky, they should sort it out.

      I emailed sky the problem. I never received a second reply but my speed has become ridiculous:

      Line Attenuation 51.5 db 30.9 db
      Noise Margin 18.8 db 10.5 db

      Doing this by e-mail can sometimes backfire, you need to ring and speak to CST.
