      What can I expect

I am deciding weather to move to Sky or O2. Both on LLU at my exchange. O2 seems to be winning due to price at the moment.

On the O2 website I have this information provided-
O2 Home Broadband is available in your area

We've estimated that your maximum download speed is 5 meg .This is based on information BT gave us about your BT line.

Thats a nice thought considering the best i've seen with BT is 3.1meg although once in a blue moon.

My router stats at present are:

      Up 448000
      Down 3520000
      SNR 13
      Att 47.0

Has anyone on LLU got similar stats to these to give a gestimation on what to realisticaly expect.

      Re: What can I expect

I have an attentuation of 53 and can connect at around 6.5mbps/1.1mbps down/up. If your wiring is up to scratch I can't see you wouldn't get at least 7mbps.

The first thing O2 do when you're activated is to test your line for the maximum speed it can handle, regardless of what package you've selected.

make sure o2 will put you on LLU and not the access package.
Despite it being at your exchange they might not have a spare slot for you, and will put you on access, dont do it if this is the case, as the access package is heavily overloaded at the moment, and speeds are worse than sky connect!!!!
