Can you post your stats from the router.

In the address bar type 192.168.0.1 in the login box username admin pass sky then at the bottom of the screen click on connection stats and post them here, to help further.

If that is as the crow flys then the actual distance could be double this, the lines have to follow roads etc, they are never in a straight line from the exchange.

As advised post your router stats from the test socket.

Connect to the test socket and repost your stats from there, link is below in my sig with details.

At the moment you are getting the fastest speed the line can handle.

You also need your upstream speed increasing as this is set to low at present

      test taken from test socket
You have a serious line problem somewhere, with a line attenuation of only 8db from the test socket you should have the full 20Mb.

Is there any noise on the line when you use the phone, pops or crackles etc, if there is report it to who ever you pay the line rental to.

If not I should phone sky and ask them to investigate the problem as that is just not acceptable with your stats. use this number 08442 410 515

      If you could use this,

      Mel's Notes: Dg834gt-1skuk

Then click on the detailed stats button, it will show the full stats and tell you what ADSL mode you are on.
