New Customer
Hi all, been reading the forum for the last few weeks and went live with ADSL+ 2 days ago, I know i am suppose to be on DLM at present but I just thought I would ask some questions..
Sky say this;
Your Sky Broadband
You have Sky Broadband Unlimited which offers a maximum download speed of up to 20Mb
Speed Estimate
When you purchased Sky Broadband, we estimated that the maximum download speed for your line was: 4.0Mb
----------------------------------
I am currently getting 4mb and nothing has changed for 2 days now, I am worried it is not going to increase, o2 website states i should get 16mb+
Here are my stats connected to the test socket
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4096 kbps 512 kbps
Line Attenuation 29.0 db 18.5 db
Noise Margin 23.2 db 13.0 db
So all looks ok there for 16mb+ so is there a reason it is not going up slowely?
Also the Sky site says i am not under DLM, god knows why lol
thanks for the help.

Re: New Customer
Be patient
Your speed should increase, 4Mb is the start position for the speed, it will then increase until it hits your maximum stable speed.

Let's hope the situation does not arise.

Re: New Customer
You're now on ADSL2+ which will account for an increase in attentuation from around 2-4db, this is quite normal. DLM has also now started so sit back and wait and see if it improves any further, and remember don't turn off your router for the next 10 days, at least.
