I cant hear you!!!!
Hey All,
Just thought I'd post my router stats here, and let you all see what I am getting!
I have ran speed-tests and get 'on average' 7.1 Mbps, so I am quite happy with it. But then I thought I'd inspect my router stats a bit more, now that I am out of the 10 day training period!
So take a look, and tell me what you think! (oh...and by the way...notice something a little odd???)
What do you think I should do!???..(i know there is a tech fault by the way!...but for comedy at least...its a classic!!)
Ciao 4 now all,

Re: I cant hear you!!!!
Poor upstream is often down to filters. Check that you have them fitted and if possible change them

Re: I cant hear you!!!!
The number 2147483647 is used by routers and other electronic devices to indicate an error. It means the noise margin has dropped to a negative value which the router cannot interpret. As Brian says a common cause of this in the upstream margin is dodgy filters. You might also want to try plugging into the Test socket, just in case there is a problem with your wiring,
As a bit of useless information 2147483647 was the largest prime number calculated up until about 150 years ago. The largest prime number to present consists of 12978189 digits

2147483647 being 2 to the power of 31 minus 1 which is the largest signed variable possible with a 32 digit binary (0111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111).

PS: Sky ARE sending me out a new router to try and 'resolve' the issue...but if it's just wiring..then roll on eBay! LOL.

Re: I cant hear you!!!!
You may as well get on e-bay now because it's not the router!

Re: I cant hear you!!!!
Yeah...i have had a few routers sent to me from Sky in the past, with past houses etc... and they haven't ever included any form of SAE stuff to send the faulty one back...I think this may be my 7th router now from them, spreading over 3 houses of having BB with them.
I know i should look around at other ISP's...but at £10 a month...i really cant complain!“The most overlooked advantage of owning a computer is that if they foul up there's no law against whacking them around a bit.” - Porterfield
