Post your stats, from your normal position and from the Test socket.

Re: Will i be able to get 20mb on my line?

      Same question for me please:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3968 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 13.0 db 6.0 db
Noise Margin 7.6 db 16.0 db

Channel: INTR, Upstream rate = 768 Kbps, Downstream rate = 3968 Kbps
      Link Power State: L0
      Mode: G.DMT
      Channel: Interleave
      Trellis: ON
      Line Status: No Defect
      Training Status: Showtime
      Down Up
      SNR (dB): 7.7 16.0
      Attn(dB): 13.0 6.0
      Pwr(dBm): 17.8 9.9
      Max(Kbps): 4480 1308
      Rate (Kbps): 3968 768

I usually get around 12mb, but work has just been done on the line (pair exchange and 'jumper' being performed ) and I'm currently capped at 4mbps as its finalised. Anyway, what do you think - 20mb possible? This is through the micro-filter, can't test using test-socket as dont have that face-plate. Thanks

With that attenuation it should be possible, but not with that noise margin i'm afraid!

      Cheers for the quick reply.

I thought as much - you wouldn't know if the procedures at the exchange I mentioned are likely to make any difference to the noise margin?

Re: Will i be able to get 20mb on my line?

I wouldn't expect 20Mbps even with that attenuation, best we've seen on this forum is the guy with DS attenuation in single figures...16-18Mbps more likely on a good line
