      here are my exchange stats
      Exchange name: Stamfordham
      Exchange code: NESTA
      Location: Northumberland, North East
      Postcode: NE180LA

You are connected to the Stamfordham telephone exchange.

ADSL is available in your area
Your exchange is also enabled for ADSL Max services
According to BT Wholesale, your phone line should be able to support a 1.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max

It looks like you are stuck with BT's ADSLMax, ask around your neighbours and find out who their iSP's are. See who gets the best reports and consider moving to them. I have to emphasise that if there is a fault on your line, and it seems there is, it will not matter who you go to, you will see little improvement.
