      Can I Get Faster?

      Hi all

Iv tried plugging my router straigh into the test socket but my connection speed still won't increase.

In the normal socket the below results are what I get:

      Connection Speed 4092kbps 796kbps
      Line Attenuation 46.5db 26.9db
      Noise Margin 8.6db 10db

In the test socket I get the following results:

      Connection Speed 4091kbps 796kbps
      Line Attenuation 46.5db 26.9db
      Noise Margin 7.3db 10.5db

With these results can I get any faster than 4092kbps?

      Thanks

      not on adsl2+, no...

when did you go active? as there's a 10-day training in period so turning the router off loads is the worst thing to do - it says not to do it in the welcome letter (did you read it?)...

I've had Sky Broadband for around 6-7 months now.

best bet, then, is to plug into your test socket (see like on my signature for details) and then post again...

      Re: Can I Get Faster?

      you're right, my bad!!

in which case, unless you call and get put onto gdmt i wouldn't expect a lot more...unless you're using an extention as well as i have a 46 attenuation and sit at 5.5Mbps...
