      Well just got a call from Sky to say that the problem has been fixed. tested the internet and now back up to 6.5mb speed so all is now fine again.

      A big THANKS for everyone who has contributed to this thread and gave advice it was much appreciated, I have learnt quite a lot from it !!

      Nice one glad it was sorted. The probably did what they call 'a cleaning of the port' back at the exchange
