I just tried your speed test and these are the results

Your download speed is 2568Kbps. That is 1660Kbps below the average for Sky
Your upload speed is 329Kbps. That is 67Kbps below the average for Sky

Can you tell me please why it says it is below average for sky, when I'm on the biggest sky broadband package please?,
and how I can improve it

Hi

Yes, because of all the people who have tested their speed (whilst on Sky) on our speedtester, have all had their results recorded into our database, and then averaged out.

Therefore the average for Sky is determined as a figure. Bear in mind this figure uses all the data collected for those actually on Sky, not individual packages.

The biggest package that Sky do is upto 16mb - although you would have to live very near the exchange to in reality receive this speed.

Quite simply shows you at the time of the test that our tester captured that data from you. Whether that is the best that you can get is not reported. Remember that on all speed tests, you should expect to lose approx 10% of your actual sync speed as a result. This varies, depending on whether you have anything else using the internet at the time of the test etc etc

Remember also that you are paying for upto not a 16mb service. I too am on Max and only get a proportion of what I could get if I were nearer the exchange.
