Use the Kana form on the contact page on sky.com or call up and ask for cancellations, that often forces the issue.

i'm in a similar boat myself, moved form virgin media (20mb) and i'm not getting anytihng like what i expected!

i did ring customer services to complain about this, one of the things they said is they refund the cost of the BT installation, she's sending a form in the post, aparently this is standard practice on all new installations (with all tv+phone+bb packages) so do that first to get your 130quid back.

sky CST just seem totally uninterested at investigating a line fault or raising the issue with BT wholesale, they keep closing calls saying no fault found. i even had one CST being arsey with me and threatened to cap me at 4mb! very bad experience that phonecall

oh and i've bought all new kit from ADSLnation to make sure i've eliminated all problems my end, it's a brand new BT installation anyway so didnt make any difference having new cabling, facelate etc.

i have also asked them to send me a netgear router rather than the sagem one as i know these are better, and also i do use checkpoint VPN and i beleive the sagems have problems with this.

Jim you need to post a set of stats up from the router showing attenutation, SNR and what synch speeds you have.
Also put your tel number in here to get an idea of what your true line distance is:

      from memoey:

      sync speed 7300
      attenuation: 42db
      SNR: 7.2db

kitz site says 1.9km from exchange, 3km by road! (it's more like 2.3km by road)

looks like i might be getting what i should, but just *****ed that i found this out AFTER switching from virgin, as if id have known i wouldnt have switched to sky!
