      Re: noisy line

      right it approx te same time as yesterday (25 mins earlier) but its been running for the same time as yesterday and here are my stats. it looks to me like its much improved, HOWEVER there are still some crc issues, would this still be considered a bad line, or should it be ok now do you guys think? ps anyone know why it gets worse at night? i would have thought it would have been worse at busy periods>?

      many thanks for your thoughts

      Re: noisy line

      They are much improved and almost within tolerance!

      Total time = 1 hours 55 min 1 sec
      SF = 428307
      CRC = 446

      They should be no more than 0.1% of the super frames "SF" so above they should not be more than 428 in that time period so you are nearly there. If you look at yesterdays it was no where close to that. So I would leave it be for now and see if your disconnections have improved.

      Yesterdays:

      SF = 421205
      CRC = 1657 Should have been less than 421!

      The reason things get worse in the evening is the increase in network traffic ie more users on line
      + Radio interference increases at night like the buzzing you get on an AM radio which gets worse on the evenings.
