      Re: if i upgrade?

are these stats still from the test socket ?

your upstream noise margin was 19db when you had your best connection, but ever since it seems to bounce around (now at 7db)

      Re: if i upgrade?

can i be a pain and ask if you can reboot the router at 11.30 tonight ?

also while you re-boot would you be able to open the show stats button on the router and see what downstrem noise margin comes up

or you could do it in the morning and post the stats back, i just want to see what difference it makes during a quieter time of the day

      Re: if i upgrade?

in truth i'm not sure, i know there is a link between upstream and downstream, i did think the router syncs up first then down and wondered if you had a noisy line and had a low up sync speed this may have an affect on your downstream sync and also be giving you the higher noise margin on your downstream (because of the lower sync)
i am sure others on here are much more informed about this sort of thing ( and will let me know, not just for my benifit, but also to stop me plastering my wrong thoughts on the forum ) , but while you are able to, i thought i might test out my theory using you as the guinee pig

it may be that your up and down stream have been capped but this would not account for it dropping lower after your last re-boot
