      Twisted pair cable question.

I know twisted pair is the best kind of cable to connect router to master socket from what i have read on the boards here. I also know that the shorter the better. I can put my router within 2 foot of my MS but is it possible to get one this short? or will i have to make one up adding the connectors myself. if so what do i need and could someone recomend me somewhere to purchase the cable and anything else i will need.
      Thanks.

      Re: Twisted pair cable question.

Make your own. I use the blue pair from an old patch cable an connect as follows. RJ45 4 and 5 (centre pair) for the filter end RJ11 centre pair for the router end. Polarity is not important.

You can get the plugs from maplin. If you want to buy a ready made one I think that ADSL nation do a 0.5m lead.
