      Max package why slow speeds?

I've had the max package for a while now, but I'm not getting anywhere close to 16mb. I've had the line checked & that's fine, upgraded the firmware, checked the master socket, changed the cables, but still only getting about 8mb...My stats are as follows:

      (I live 0.93km from exchange).

/usr/sbin/adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
      Status: ShowtimeRetrain Reason: 0
Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 764 Kbps, Downstream rate = 7645 Kbps
      Link Power State: L0
      Mode: ADSL2+
      Channel: Fast
      Trellis: U:ON /D:ON
      Line Status: No Defect
      Training Status: Showtime
      Down Up
      SNR (dB): 16.3 16.0
      Attn(dB): 28.0 16.9
      Pwr(dBm): 0.0 12.8
      Max(Kbps): 15888 864
      Rate (Kbps): 7645 764

      Any ideas?

Re: Max package why slow speeds?

looks like you've been capped, can you post the rest of your stats to see if you are having any errors?

as you can see from the max speed, you should hit 15mbit

see if you can get sky to uncap you

looks like you should be able to ring sky up on 08705515515, and get yourself uncapped

you can probably also request it by email here Sky.com - Sky Help Centre;tg&Contact Us>Feedback - Broadband Kana

Re: Max package why slow speeds?

Spoke to sky, they think my router could be the problem so they are sending me another one. They went through a series of checks and said my connection isnt capped, they can see I'm not connecting at the speed I should but I am open to 16mb.Lets see what happens with the new router.
