Mid Package - Can I get better results ?

Hello, I am also having some problems with my Mid package, The maximum i am getting is only 4000 kbps. I'm new to this forum, is there any information you need from me?

if you could post your detailed stats (see second link in my sig and look for the mognuts utility)
then also confirm set up (wired / wireless - do you use an extention or are you pluged into master socket)

I have tried connecting to my Main Socket but i see no difference in the speed

^^ With a line length reporting as ~4 km to the exchange you are unlikely to get more than 4.5 mbps. As it is, the stats cover too short a period to be definite, but it looks to me as though the line has been capped at 3 mbps, presumably for stability.

You may be able to squeeze a little more if you can clean up some noise from your line but the only way to get any significant increase in ADSL speed would be to move nearer to the exchange.

Hmm Ok, I also have some problems with my line disconnecting about a few times a day and sometimes at peak about every 15 minutes, I rang Sky up when i first bought it because it disconnected every 5 minutes, I think thats why it's capped. I have done a line test and it sounds really quiet(good) Anything else could be the problem?

Was just reading about the NTE-2005 Master face plate, Is it worth buying one of these. My current Master Socket is years old, It totally looks outdated

why did he try to get it to 16Mbps, you're only on Mid!!

still, looking good, altho they don't know how to add up as it should say 8096 (8192 but syncs as that)...obviously a tier 2 agent, now CST, who's being lazy...

He tried to get it to 16mbps to see whether I can derive any further benefit by upgrading to max.

Are you being serious on the extra 96kbps ? Will I even notice the difference?
