Just ring Sky sales up and ask to purchase one, they will put it on your account/ portfolio and send it out, cheaper elsewhere though.

Interesting about the wireless adapter. How much do Sky sell them for?

Does anyone have any idea about how I can improve my stats?

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 2308312 2946055 0 18211 0 26:02:03

      Richone54,

Basically I have gone through and tried all the things on my other post but seems to have hit a brick wall. As is indicated on my other post by eyemdee i should be getting much better d/l for my attenuation.

Is there anyway I could post more detialed stats for you or someone to look at? Or is it a case of emailing Sky Tech support?

      Cheers

Re: Should I Email Sky Tech Support

      Hi,

I'm with Sky Broadband and had trouble setting up my email to work in Outlook. I've tried everything to get it working but in the end gave up and registered a googlemail account which I've set up as an "IMAP email account" in my Outlook Software.

I'm looking to send out a mailing to a double opt in list (yes double opt in not spam) and I'm wanting to do this from my desktop. I have a couple of pieces of software on trial and I seem to be having problems sending these emails.

Can you please tell me what the limitations are for sending marketing emails using my sky broadband? Some of the pieces of software I have have their own built in SMTP server but also allow the option of entering your own.

I'm looking to set up my own business from home and email marketing is how I would be reaching my customers.

      Regards,
      Stu.

Well you shouldn't be using a residential service for that sort of thing for sure.

Forget it, bin it , throw it out wireless sucks, spend your money on a couple of homeplugs, you don't need to run any extra wires but you get the same connection as using a long ethernet lead.

It will remove your drop outs, improve speeds across the network and remove wireless lag for gaming.

40 buys a pair of Solwise 85Mbps Turbo plugs from e-bay.

should being the word, but in reality doesn't allow mean you will...

unless your SNR shoots up in the test socket its a bad line and nothing short of replacing it will fix it...
