      got a shock this afternoon, i noticed that browsing around the internet was a lot more snappy. so i did a speed test and i hit 5mb which is amazing... i couldnt believe it...

      i do recall forgetting to plug in the sky + box into the adsl filter for 2 or 3 days and getting a 7mb sync rate. i realised yesterday and i plugging it back in and immediately got a 8mb sync rate. so today after living with 0.5 mb for months i got over 5mb... could this be because the bRAS profile was reset at the exchange or because BT wholesale did something to my line?

      hope the speed does not go down again....

      yeah perhaps.... sky was supposed to have phoned me up at the begining of the week with the results of BT's analysis of the exchange and line but that never happened. Im not phoning them up because im not waiting endlessly onthe phone like i have been doing before. im just hoping the speed holds for at least a week, then i'd be happy....

      edit: getting speeds above 6mb now

      Use the contact us link on sky.com help center and give your ticket number if you have it, lot cheaper and easier than calling lol If you call in and tell the T1 that you have a previous ticket open then they will look into the notes on it, if it's open they can pass you through or just tell you what the notes say. It may well be that you are in the callback queue at the moment or that someone has forgotten.

      just thought i would update, its been several days now and ive constantly got a download speed of over 5mb. today ive have hit 6.5mb which is what i got when i initially joined up last sept.

      well thanks for all your comments and tips... truely appreciate it
