      Speed Problem - Update

      Well... the BT wholesale test shows that i'm capable of upto 512kbps.
      Its really funny this, my provider also tell me i'm capped, but only used an average of 1GB a month(they prevoiusly told me that there mite be problem with the line, before they told me it was capped). My connection speed before December was 1mbps and my line was capable of 2.5 mbps, now only capable of 512kbps. My exchange is Ardrossan and i'm within 4-5km of it.

      Due them capping my line/account it has effected the exchange read out too 512kbps (So they tell me). On the 28 Nov I was to be upgraded from 1mbps to 2mbps but instead I got 512kbps. I'm told to contact BT about the line but BT tell me to contact them instead (nothing they can do). Why does the exchange now read 512kbps when it was 2.5mbps and can be upgraded to ADSL Max. A second line has been added to the house as of the 15th Dec would that effect anything?

      Right you will get really slow speeds I advise you to go on with virgin fibre optic broadband you can not get faster broadband with dsl,ISDN,DIAL UP or asdl
