Call after about 11:00pm (or later) and you'll probably get put straight through to T3.

Good luck and I hope you don't get a T1 who insists on taking you through basic troubleshooting. I know it's not their fault and they have to do this (or get a reprimand) but it can be a right pain.

EDIT: I've just seen a post where another poster had been moved from G.DMT to ADSL2+. His downstream was taised by T3 to over 16000kbps but something odd happened to his upstream which was way down like yours. That suggests to me that the problems are similar and are down to something T3 have done (or not done) rather than a line or exchange issue.

Thanks for the heads up Saturday, i`ll give them a ring tonight and see what happens, this might sound a little daft but what is the number for Sky BB tech?

Re: Used to have great bb speeds

id say an upload dip tends to point to a line issue as the adsl frequency is first used by upstream then the rest for downstream so something might've had an affect on the line...

Re: Used to have great bb speeds

Its been a while since i`ve posted an update but since this morning my speeds have improved i`m getting 13mb down and 470kb up, i`m happy with that thats my actual speed not what my router is syncing at.

Re: Used to have great bb speeds

Checked my stats this morning and my router was synced at 15323 down and 561 up, but the thing that alarmed me was the noise margin on my upsttream had fallen to 1db.
So i rebooted and my upstream is back to 320kb
I`ve been in touch with Sky and they went through the usual check this routine, i was told that the speeds would fluctuate during the day but i`m sorry not by that much, i can accept actual speed variations but when your router keeps syncing at different speeds thats a concern to me.

I did inform the agent that i had a ticket raised last year for the same problem and i was put through to tier 3 last time and i did explain that its either a line or an exchange fault.

What do i do guys, i`ve phoned them so whats the next step, do i need to keep phoning them?

      My stats are below

/usr/sbin/adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 330 Kbps, Downstream rate = 15323 Kbps
