      Re: 8mb on max

      hi there
yer never rang them in the past so been like that from the start.

anyway rang them up about it.
      and got no were.
got pasted from department to department .
no one seemed to no what i was on about or could not help me with it coz my line speed is 15mb so they say.
just took the **** out of me it seemed like .
even put me thought to the phone department at one point ,it seemed like an attempt to get rid of me.
in the end after being pasted around 9 times and a 1 hour 20 min phone call.
some lad pretented he could not hear me and kept saying hello for 2 min.
then he said he needed me to unplug my phone so he could sort the prob out.
at that point i lost it and put the phone down.

could anyone advice me on how i could get them to sort it out for me.
coz i feel like they just take the **** out of me ,check the power lead is pluged in and all your leads are pluged in, then pasted to the next department who will go over the same **** again and past me over again .

      thanks

      Re: 8mb on max

You have an extremely low attenuation (short line) which would easily support 16meg, provided your line is in good condition. Looking at your noise margin however, I suspect it isn't all that good.

Uncapped you may get 16meg or close to that but the connection may be unstable. I'd recommend you take some steps to improve your connection (see the cabling and faceplate help forum and don't use an extension) before contacting Sky.

When you do call, make it late at night and tell the agent you'd like to be transferred to Tier 3 as you were previously capped for a problem which is now resolved.

      Re: 8mb on max

^ that's only work if there was a previous ticket....if there isn't one then they'll have to go through the rig moral of initial TS before going to CST....but yeah, call late night and hopefully you'll get someone with some sense!!
